Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how AZShot Pro - Amazon Media Downloader ("the Extension",
"we", "us", or "our") collects, handles, stores, and shares user information. We are committed to
protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
Summary: AZShot Pro is a browser extension that downloads images, photos, and videos from
Amazon product listings. The Extension accesses website content on Amazon pages to extract media URLs. User
account data is collected only when you choose to sign in with Google. We do not sell or transfer your data
to third parties.
1. Data Collection
AZShot Pro collects the following categories of information:
1.1 Personally Identifiable Information
- Google Account Information: When you choose to sign in with Google, we collect your
name, email address, and profile picture. This information is used solely for account identification,
managing your subscription/membership status, and enabling cross-device synchronization.
1.2 Authentication Information
- Google OAuth Tokens: When you sign in via Google OAuth 2.0, an authentication token is
generated to verify your identity. We do not collect or store your Google password. The OAuth token is
used solely for authenticating API requests to our server for membership verification.
1.3 Website Content
- Amazon Product Page Content: The Extension accesses content on Amazon product listing
pages (such as amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, amazon.de, and other Amazon regional domains) to detect and
extract product media URLs, including image URLs, video URLs, and variant media URLs. This website
content is processed entirely on your local device and is never transmitted to or
stored
on our servers.
- What we access: Product images, product videos, and variant media (e.g., different
color/style images) displayed on Amazon product listing pages.
- What we do NOT access: We do not access, read, or collect any content outside of Amazon
product listing pages. We do not access your personal Amazon account information, purchase history,
payment details, or any content on non-Amazon websites.
1.4 User Preferences
- Your settings such as preferred download format and display options, stored locally using Chrome's
chrome.storage API.
1.5 Usage Data
- Download quota counters are stored locally to manage free tier limits. This data never leaves your
device.
We do not collect:
- Your browsing history or web activity outside of Amazon product pages.
- Information about which specific Amazon products you view or download.
- The actual downloaded image or video files.
- Payment card details (all payments are processed by third-party payment providers).
- Your location, IP address, or device identifiers.
- Personal communications such as emails, texts, or chat messages.
- Health or financial information.
2. Data Handling
We handle the collected data as follows:
- Personally Identifiable Information: Your Google profile data (name, email, profile
picture) is used solely to authenticate your identity, manage your subscription/membership status, and
enable cross-device account binding. This data is transmitted securely (via HTTPS) to our server for
account verification and membership management purposes only.
- Authentication Information: Google OAuth tokens are used only for verifying your
identity when communicating with our server. Tokens are stored securely in the browser and are never
shared with any third party other than Google's authentication servers.
- Website Content: All extraction of media URLs from Amazon product pages is performed
entirely on your local device by the Extension's content scripts. No website content (images, videos,
page HTML, or media URLs) is ever sent to or processed on our servers. The extracted media is downloaded
directly from Amazon's servers to your local device.
- User Preferences: Your settings and preferences are processed and applied locally on
your device. They are not transmitted to any external server.
- Usage Data: Download quota counters are processed locally on your device to enforce
free
tier limits.
3. Data Storage
Data is stored in the following locations:
- Local Storage (on your device): User preferences, download quota counters, cached
settings, and authentication tokens are stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in
chrome.storage API. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to sign in with
Google.
- Server-Side Storage (on our servers): If you sign in with Google, your Google account
information (name, email, profile picture) and membership/subscription status are stored on our secure
servers. This data is protected using industry-standard encryption (AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.2+ in
transit) and strict access controls.
- No Website Content Storage: We do not store any website content extracted from Amazon
pages. All media extraction occurs locally on your device and no extracted content is transmitted to our
servers.
Data Retention: We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Upon
account deletion request, we will remove all associated personal information from our servers within 30
days.
Local data stored via chrome.storage can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the Extension
or
clearing browser data.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal data to any third party for
marketing, advertising, or any other purpose.
Your data is only shared with the following third-party services strictly as necessary to provide the
Extension's core functionality:
- Google OAuth: When you choose to sign in, authentication data (name, email, profile
picture) is exchanged with Google's servers via the OAuth 2.0 protocol. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Payment Processors (PayPal / Paddle): If you purchase a subscription, payment
processing is handled entirely by third-party providers. We do not have access to your payment card
details. Payments are subject to the respective privacy policies of PayPal and Paddle.
Apart from the above, we will never share, disclose, or provide your personal information to
any other third party unless required by law or valid legal process (such as a court order or government
subpoena).
5. Limited Use Disclosure
AZShot Pro's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the
Chrome Web Store User

- We only use Google user data for the purpose of providing and improving the Extension's functionality
(account authentication and membership management).
- We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements.
- We do not sell Google user data to third parties.
- We do not use Google user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
6. Permissions

media from Amazon product listings:
- Host Permissions (Amazon domains): To access and extract product media (images, videos)
from Amazon listing pages across all supported regional domains (amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, amazon.de,
etc.).
- Identity: To enable Google sign-in for account management and membership verification.
- Storage: To save your preferences, subscription status, and download quota locally on
your device.
- Scripting: To inject content scripts into Amazon product pages that detect and extract
media URLs from the page DOM.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable and industry-standard measures to protect your information:
- Authentication is handled through Google's secure OAuth 2.0 protocol.
- All data transmitted between the Extension and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS (TLS 1.2 or
higher).
- Server-side data is stored with industry-standard security practices, including encryption at rest and
restricted access controls.
